Dr. Zinia Islam

Background

Dr. Zinia Islam has been currently working as an Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She successfully completed her MS and PhD  from the department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, JAPAN. Then she pursued her post doctoral fellowship at the same department. She received her  B.Sc. in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Khulna University, Bangladesh. She elucidated the mechanism for the identification of renal transporters involved in Ca2+ and Mg2+ excretion.
